This week, AVC has been showing some extra love for our loveable, snuggly, furry best friends in honor of Pet Appreciation Week. While we like to show our pets how much we love them every day, this week marks a way to formally express all that our pets mean to us. Show some gratitude in your own way by taking a look at some ideas we’ve listed below!
Extend Normal Play & Exercise Time
Your loveable fuzzball likely needs no convincing to spend a little more time chasing their favorite toy, playing fetch, or just taking a little different route on their walk around the neighborhood. So, put down your phone for that extra few minutes and give back some love to your paw-some pet.
Pamper Away!
This one is easy. You know what your puppy or kitty likes the most, so spoil them a bit! Whether it’s a new toy (or the box it came in), or their tastiest treat, a bit of pampering is sure to make them smile. Make sure to give them a treat to reward good behavior, however. AVC is also here to spoil them with a good old-fashioned bath, if you know that will hit the spot!
Play Some Tunes
Don’t knock it until you try it! If you have a dog or cat that is more susceptible to loud noises, stress, or anxiety, why not try out some calm, meditative tunes for them to relax? You may find your pet playlist on repeat before you know it. Here’s a start.
Microchipping and Pet Information
June is National Microchipping Month, so consider microchipping your fluffball! If your fuzzy friend is already microchipped, make sure your information is up to date. Microchipping significantly increases your chance of finding your pet if they become lost.
Focus on Your Pet’s Health at AVC
Never neglect that sometimes what your playful pup or kitty most needs is a regular check-up at AVC! We can make sure all your vaccinations are up to date and do a wellness check to make sure they’re healthy and happy. They’ll thank you in the long run, and we’re here to help!
