August Dental Promotion
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for!!! Our August back to school dental promo is back!
While Covid safety has seemingly ebbed and flowed over the last year and a half, the one constant seems to be that we have had to find new ways to entertain ourselves indoors. We’ve tried out an at-home sourdough recipe, worked on DIY home renovations, and reorganized coat closets (maybe more than twice). But how about a movie marathon with that playful pup of yours?
TV watching didn’t used to be much of an option for dogs. Rover.com dissects why tv watching at home is now even more of an option for them:
“Older, non-digital TVs, or CRT TVs, were truly for human eyes only. Since dogs’ eyes function differently, the quality of those images is choppy. Dog eyes can spot the refresh rate of the images on the screen, whereas our eyes see one continual image.
With the latest [digital] technology, however, TV for dogs is a real possibility. It’s even a potential source of comfort and entertainment while you’re away.”
So, in no particular order, here are some of AVC’s favorites to watch (or rewatch). We hope you have access to Disney’s streaming service, because they seem to have cornered the market on great canine cinema!

Disney has put out a lot of 101 Dalmatians content over the years. Much of it can be found on Disney+ these days, but the real pick of the litter is the newly minted Cruella starring Emma Stone. The stylish take on the Cruella deVil origin is a must for any fans of the franchise.

The 2002 take on the Mystery Inc. Gang has become something of a cult classic, but the franchise has never had a problem adapting to the times, especially in the most recent adaptation, Scoob! No mystery will go unsolved and no crime unpunished as long as there are those meddling kids (and a loveable Great Dane) to help save the day.

Still in the Halloween mood? Frankenweenie may be just the right flavor for you. Tune in to some creepy, stop-motion, Tim Burton goodness. This one’s great for the whole family.

This stop-motion animated option is certainly a different voice from others on the list. Written and directed by Wes Anderson, if you’re a fan of his earlier work (like Fantastic Mr. Fox among others), you’ll enjoy this charming, albeit odd, take on a boy in search of his lost dog.

Enjoy canine classics in the vein of Iron Will and White Fang? The true story of the tale of Togo is worth checking out, though you may come away feeling a little chillier than when you started.

For fans of the original Disney classic, the live action remake seemed to get lost amidst the shuffle before Covid hit. Check it out if you haven’t, or simply go the nostalgia route with the 1955 original also on Disney+!
