August Dental Promotion
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for!!! Our August back to school dental promo is back!
As temperatures outside get warmer and the sun begins to shine a little brighter, it’s time to start getting your backyard ready for some summer fun! While you’re creating your family’s perfect outdoor landscape, don’t forget to look at things from your furry best friend’s point of view. Here are 5 tips for creating the ideal doggy wonderland in your backyard this summer.
1. Safety First.
Though your pup may believe that they are the biggest, toughest animal out there, implementing some safety precautions is always a good first step. Create boundaries for your dog by fully fencing-in your yard or developing a dog run within a larger area to allow your little guy or gal to run free in a safe way.
2. Splish Splash!
Who doesn’t love a water feature? Keep your little furball entertained for hours by adding an accessible splash fountain or stream that they can play with. For larger features, such as small ponds or pools, make sure to perform a safety check to ensure that your dog can easily get out if they fall in before allowing access.
3. Let the Path Lead the Way.
Guide your pup in the right direction by paving some paths for them to explore from the comfort of your backyard. If you’re feeling extra creative, you can even throw in a few obstacles for them to tackle along the way for extra fun!
4. Be Cautious of Toxins.
Unfortunately, a surprising amount of common backyard plants and gardening items can possess unsafe toxins for dogs to be around or ingest. Before planting any new flowers or taking on a new landscaping project, be sure to check with us here at AVC to ensure that the new additions are toxin-free!
5. Let’s Get Comfy!
Keep your furry family member comfortable by choosing safe and smart backyard materials. Ideally, landscaping materials shouldn’t get too hot, should be easy to walk on, and shouldn’t get caught on fur and feet. Concrete, bricks, and smooth pebbles or rocks are great options to start with!
