August Dental Promotion
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for!!! Our August back to school dental promo is back!
Having a new furry addition to your family can be extremely exciting, but it can also require you to make some changes around the house. Reimagining a few important aspects of your home to minimize potential hazards for your little guy or gal is extremely important. Want a few tips on where to get started? We have got you covered.
1. Hide the Cords!
As you likely already know, puppies are naturally curious. To create an environment that’s safe for your pup’s desire to explore, make sure that all electrical cords are blocked, hidden, and out of reach. In areas where this is not possible, unplug any electronics when they’re not in use, and supervise all doggy activity around these potential hazards.
2. It’s Time to Invest in a Puppy Gate
Worried that your little guy or gal might have an accident on your newly cleaned carpet or brand new rug? Invest in a puppy gate to allow for your dog to roam free in designated safe and mistake-proof areas. Additionally, these gates can help to protect your pet from injury on stairs or other potentially dangerous areas of the house.
3. Take a Look Outside!
Puppy-proofing doesn’t stop at the back door! Take a look into your backyard to ensure that this environment is also safe for your furry best friend. Fence in your yard and swimming pool, if possible, and avoid keeping any plants that are poisonous to dogs!
4. Let’s Get Some Perspective.
Sometimes, understanding exactly what to do next when envisioning your house as a puppy wonderland can be a little challenging. Though it may seem silly at first, getting down to the eye-level of your little guy or gal can help you to see things that they may be inclined to chew on or get tangled in and spaces they may attempt to squeeze through. By looking at things from your pup’s perspective, you can reduce the risk of potential unforeseen accidents.
5. Ask AVC!
