Vimago Pico CT – Incredible Imaging

Arlington Veterinary Center is more than well-equipped which is why we are known for
in-depth investigations and wide-ranging diagnoses. Our most advanced technology is Computed Tomography Scanning capabilities, commonly called CT. The system used at AVC is a state-of-the-art Epica Vimago Pico HF with High Definition Volumetric Imaging (HDVI) technology. Unlike standard cone-beam, single, double and multi-slice, systems, our “little” Pico unit offers a resolution down to 0.09mm, the approximate thickness of a human hair. Vimago can accurately identify lung masses less than as 1.0 mm in size. It provides incredible images of brains, bellies, bones, backs and beyond and is a workhorse in the advanced dental care we provide at AVC. Vimago HDVI CT is now considered the premiere diagnostic tool for Porto-Systemic Shunt in both dogs and cats. The photos presented are from numerous actual AVC patient files.
