We are proud to announce that two of our hardworking team members, Kristina Glass and Kristen Crawford, have received their Certified Veterinary Assistant titles! In order to achieve this distinction, they have had to complete a course of study administered by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. This involves a minimum of 500 hours of practical experience, educational training, and successfully passing the Level 1 Certification Final Exam. Now that they are certified, they must complete 5 hours of Continuing Education each year to maintain their new status.
Kristina joined our practice in May of 2008 while still in high school and has been working for us for the past 9 years. She decided to pursue certification as a means of furthering her education in the veterinary field.
Kristen joined our practice in February of 2015 after working in the hospitality industry for 7 years. She decided to pursue certification to better support our doctors.
Both ladies feel it is important to have credentials in the field and are continuing on to the Level 2 requirements this fall.
