5 Spring Break Travel Tips for Your Pup

1. Prep a Doggy Travel Kit.

No matter if you’re taking a short road trip or you’re flying to your destination, it’s important to make sure that you are stocked up on every doggy essential. Be sure to bring items such as food, a bowl, a leash/harness, a waste scoop, plastic bags, grooming supplies, medications/first-aid, and any travel documents you will need.

2. Make an Appointment with AVC Before you Leave.

Especially if you will be traveling by plane, make sure to schedule a checkup and ensure that your pet’s vaccinations are current. You’ll also need to obtain a health certificate from your veterinarian dated no more than 10 days before your departure.
