August Dental Promotion
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for!!! Our August back to school dental promo is back!
Spring Break is just around the corner, and you know what that means. It’s vacation time! But before you get too far into the hustle and bustle of planning the trip’s itinerary with your dog, check out some of these helpful travel tips…
1. Prep a Doggy Travel Kit.
No matter if you’re taking a short road trip or you’re flying to your destination, it’s important to make sure that you are stocked up on every doggy essential. Be sure to bring items such as food, a bowl, a leash/harness, a waste scoop, plastic bags, grooming supplies, medications/first-aid, and any travel documents you will need.
2. Make an Appointment with AVC Before you Leave.
Especially if you will be traveling by plane, make sure to schedule a checkup and ensure that your pet’s vaccinations are current. You’ll also need to obtain a health certificate from your veterinarian dated no more than 10 days before your departure. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about traveling with your furry best friend!
3. Get Your Crate in Shape.
It’s extremely important that your pet feels safe and secure in their crate. It should be large enough for them to stand, sit, and turn around in. Additionally, make sure to secure your pet’s crate in place if traveling by car. Your little furball will be grateful for the extra stability in the event of an abrupt stop.
4. Communication is Key!
Traveling with pets can sometimes feel complicated. Be proactive in communicating with AVC about what you need to do to safely travel with your little snuggle buddy. It’s also helpful to contact airline, hotel, and any other travel/lodging employees ahead of time to verify their policies concerning pets.
5. Not Sure if Your Pup Can Tag Along? Try Boarding with AVC!
If your pet can’t join you on your trip, don’t lose hope! They’ll have a blast when you sign them up for boarding here at AVC. With spacious outdoor play areas and lots of fun friends to play with, you can be sure that your pup will have a great time on their vacation too. Give us a call or visit our website to make your furry family member’s reservation today!
